Kayte Godward

Kayte is the Community Relationships and Suicide Prevention Manager for Lifeline Aotearoa. She has been a trainer and facilitator for many years and loves working with the community. As a WAVES facilitator, she sees the importance of every person who has been impacted by suicide to heal and recover. 


Deborah Galloway

Deborah is a Health Promoter for Progress to Health and is well known for her excellent presentations and trainings. She brings both a rural and a health perspective to her work. Deborah has a huge amount of knowledge and experience to draw from as a WAVES facilitator and working with those bereaved by suicide.  


Joyce Brown

Joyce is a dairy farmer and registered nurse. She has seen firsthand what many people in the rural community experience because of the consistently high physical and mental demands required of the job, how that can affect farmer health and wellbeing, including those around them. Joyce knows the importance of bringing the WAVES bereavement support programme to the rural communities.



Pastor Ross & Karyn Woodhouse

Ross is Pastor of a small Baptist church in northeast Hamilton. Through the loss of a colleague some years ago by suicide, Ross and Karyn have developed a desire to help others affected by suicide in Hamilton.

Ross and Karyn are trained in ASIST through Lifeline and WAVES through Skylight, and are committed to journey with people who are bereaved by a suicide, assisting people through their grief and with their healing. They bring compassion and skills from years of working with people.  Karyn has a background in midwifery and nursing. They have three adult children and three grandchildren.
