At the helm of this working group is Simon Phillips, the Portfolio and Service Integration Manager for the Service Integration & Development Unit (SIDU). Simon brings with him a great many skills and robust experience working across the mental health sector in a range of different capacities for many years.
Kayte Godward is the Service Lead from Lifeline Aotearoa and will be working very closely with the coordinators. Ms Godward is the Community Relationships and Suicide Prevention Manager for Lifeline Aotearoa and is a safeTALK trainer, a master ASIST trainer and WAVES facilitator.
Jennie Jones is the Wellington Regions Suicide Postvention Coordinator from Regional Public Health (RPH) and has held this role for many years. Ms Jones is a QPR master trainer and brings with her huge wealth of experience and senior leadership in this role. Jennine Kaio, team leader for Wellington Regional Public Health brings with her a strong background in public health. Alongside the working group is an expert panel, and overseeing the implementation is a newly appointed leadership group.
New Leadership Members have been recruited. They have all been chosen on the merit of their existing leadership skills within the community and across the 3DHB areas. On the 5th December the group had their first meeting and will meet again in the new year.
